Kathy supports public safety funding to expand training and resources for police. Kathy knows a critical piece of this is keeping our schools safe, so she increased the number of school resource officers in Baltimore County schools. Kathy also took up landmark legislation to require lockable doors, safe areas, and mental health care services in schools to keep our students safe from gun violence.
